Leadership Assessment
This self assessment and 360 diagnostic was created in conjunction with Manchester Business School. It provides the means to assess and support the development of your leadership. These tools deliver powerful messages, helping you to unlock your full leadership potential. Self reflection in line with the leadership model allows consideration of leadership performance in your particular context. It will assist you to pin point the issues that can be worked on to enhance leadership.
(NB. Self assessment is about you answering it for yourself and 360 means that you have a number of relevant others answer the questions about you anonymously, and it is then agregated to give you a full picture. This could be business partner, employee, mentor, past colleague, customer etc.)
The leadership model used is the result of bringing together all the best leadership thinking and research from the last 20 years into a unified framework. The aim was to integrate all the important strands of leadership theory to provide a non-prescriptive toolbox for you to review your leadership and develop your own unique approach. The model used describes how leadership can be developed and assessed on 3 levels:
- Who you are, 'Be'
- What you actually 'do', your Leadership Competencies
- The attributes or Drivers that you 'Possess' that enable you to deliver leadership
and
- The context in which you are leading
This leadership diagnostic focuses on the 9 leadership competencies and the 8 leadership attributes/drivers that underpin them. Each section of the diagnostic focuses on a different competence, allowing your self and 360 assessment of how well the competence is executed and exploring the relative contributions of your leadership attributes/drivers. Recognising that leaders operate in a context we get you and 360 participants to assess the relative importance of each competence in your particular role and environment.
All reports come with feedback ensuring maximum understanding and reflection on how best to develop your leadership going forward. Coaching is then recommended, though not essential, to support application of plans and ongoing development.
